Trenutno imam studio na Savski cesti 34 v Kranju. Bivši diskont Trenča.
V prihodnosti se nameravam večkrat odpraviti v tujino na tattoo konvencije in seminarje. Risanje in tetoviranje mi resnično veliko pomenita in to delo opravljam z veliko ljubeznijo. Rad bi vas seznanil s trendi in različnimi stili po svetu, zato vabim vse prave ljubitelje tetoviranja, da me pokličete, da se dogovorimo o nastanku umetnine na vaši koži. My name is Mato Kapler. I was born in 1978 in Kranj, Slovenia. Ever since I was a kid I loved to draw. As soon as I turned 18 I got my first tattoo. I started to buy tattoo magazines and I was very inspired by the skin art. All my friends were into tattoos and they were persuading me to start tattooing. I went to Australia and I bought my first tattoo gun. I learned everything by practice. It was the hardest time of my life. Soon I got more and more customers. I had a lot of support from my family and after two years of weekend tattooing I opened the first tattoo studio in Kranj in November 2001. After two years tattooing in 20 square meter, the studio became too small for me so I moved into a bigger one. Now I'm working in my studio in Kranj.
I worked and try to push myself to do better and better. Thanks goes to the inspiration and the masters of the trade Paul Booth, Tom Renshaw, Bob Tyrell, Robert Hernandez, Boris, Tin-Tin, Bebert… just to name some of my favourites. I really like to do black’n’grey realism and dark side. I love Japanese art and I also have a lot of fun doing other styles as well.
My dream came true thanks to my wife Katja. I am lucky, because my job is my hobby. In the future I want to visit a lot of conventions and I want to work as a guest artist around the world.
